About the event
The worldwide shutdown affected many people in an emotional and psychological manner. It was hard for people to feel safe connecting with others without the anxiety of possibly infecting others looming in the background. While some doubted the severity of the pandemic, others took necessary precautions in order to feel safe. This left an imprint on humanity and how we navigate relationships moving forward. We can start to heal the divide the political climate left on our country so that we can start working together and rebuild a future we can be proud to gift to our children as a legacy.
In this recovery workshop, you can expect to:
- Develop the ability to recognize, accept, and cope with feelings of depression.
- Explore feelings of fear, guilt or anger associated with loss and return to an adaptive level of functioning.
- Increase social interaction, assertiveness, confidence in self and reasonable risk taking.
- Articulate a vision for moving forward, for recovering from grief and for securing a better future for our children.
