About the event

This is a regularly hosted circle that is helpful for any beginner seeking to learn more about living intentionally with a group of people. Included in the content are many links to existing resources, networking capabilities, and a basic primer to help assist those who are either new to this journey, or have stumbled upon the pitfalls of navigating living in a community well.

Why?

With ecosystem devastation at its highest due to massive deforestation, unsustainable agriculture practices of mono-crop culture, climate change, and other calamities happening at this time, what is a way that we can start working together to be more sustainable or even regenerative? It starts with how we live. The single-family home has been the center point of the “American Dream” and “Manifest Destiny” which gave permission to millions of Americans to unseat the First Nations people from their territory. If we choose to start finding old models of how to live well together, perhaps we can start aligning ourselves with a healthier and more sustainable economy. There are so many models of intentional communities out there, that it can be overwhelming. This basic primer will endeavor to cover the different ways we could model living well together.

What is included in the course

  • A sharing of a lived experience in different intentional communities
  • Exposure to different ways of living communally
  • A peek into regenerative agriculture and why it can be a central bonding moment to include this in planning meetings
  • Bringing back connection while minimizing the drama
  • Bringing compassion back to the table, while also holding strong to one's boundaries
  • Guided meditations and exercises to help engage the individual in the Great Dreaming and their own personal dreams of why they were born into this world

An invitation to join the movement

The earth needs us and our medicine now. Our ancestors have been praying for people like us to start building the answer to those prayers. Are you ready to turn around to face those prayers and live them?
