Art and Resistance

Ritual and Ceremony retreats and workshops offer curated spaces that help us become open to the possibilities that kept our ancestors alive. Restore Forward curates crosscultural, cross regional and intercontinental cultural ceremonies and rituals that utilize dance, language, folklore and various expressions that continue to give meaning, and help make sense of our human existence. These retreats and retreats connect us to one-another, honoring ancestry as evolving beings in an ever changing world. Black futurists teach us to build new worlds while staying grounded in the nurturing of the soil of our past. The creative wisdom of the Earth is a maker which tells us what is possible in order to sprout new societies from old roots, through ritual and ceremony.  Through learning, deep practice opportunities and immersive experiences, these retreats propel our sacred humanity forward.
